My name is Rosetta Lovell, and I teach because I love it. There truly is nowhere else that I'd rather be!

I decided to become a teacher because I struggled with home and school problems as a child.  My own disempowering educational experiences motivate me to help today's students get the education that they need and deserve.  

After high school I did not go to college, but instead went straight to work.  Years later I attended community college while holding down two jobs, and I eventually earned my Associate of Arts degree at San Bernardino Valley College.  I then received a full scholarship to attend University of California, Berkeley (Go Bears!) where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. I later completed my Special Education Teaching Credential at University of Redlands.

I am starting my sixth year of teaching, and all but one of those years have been here at Heritage High School.  I take pride in providing outstanding service to students and families, and I am always pushing myself to find new and better ways to make learning accessible to students with diverse needs and abilities.  I have the pleasure of teaching classes on Basic Earth Science, Basic Life Science, and Study Skills.

I am married and we have one darling son who is six years old.  In my free time I enjoy DIY home projects, gardening, reading, hiking, camping, and studying sustainability and architecture/design.

Connecting with the amazing young people at HHS is my true passion in life.  There is a hole in my heart because we can't be together in person right now, but I look forward to our time in online classes.
